My most recent exhibition has delved deeper into the concept of the unrefined image. Inspired by the work of John Hoyland, I have used images from the V and A as a starting point, before pouring an oil and water based paint mixture onto my sketches. However, unlike Hoyland, I have a reference point and so am constantly battling myself with the boundaries of refinement.
